*Special Thanx to Mz. Donna Pepin for her continued patronage and support of my w3rk, and in particular for this assemblage.. I used quite a bit of a selection of premium detritus that she has supplied me with over the past year in the hopes that some of it can be converted into transcendent gARTw3rk, through my experiments with different forms of assemblage. On this piece in particular eYe had the luxury of detailing it out with a killer supply of small rocks, minerals, glass, & other delectable bits of coloured stones n’ such.  Thanx D.  there’s plenty more where this came from, as I’m pretty stocked up thanx to folks like you and afew others, along with years of collecting.  2012 and beyond is the time to unleash this volcano of detritus into a beautifully glowing humanistic magma of creativity.  Mad Love – gaR

W3rk By: Herakut

–>This painting was commissioned for the Donna Pepin collection in the late Summer of 2010.  Originally taking about 6 weeks to complete.  After hanging on Mz. Pepin’s walls for the next 6 or 7 odd months/the winter.  It was decided by the artist and patron that the w3rk was still actually incomplete in it’s current state at that time, and the artist Gar Bailey brought it back to his studio for another 2 weeks of intensive work detailing it out with the smallest paint brushes in his arsenal.  Brush strokes so minuet and touch sensitive the Gar had to hold his breath during many of them, as not to cause the brush to waiver even one millimeter.  This painting, along with 2008′s “Flesh”, is perhaps Gar’s most finely detailed w3rk.  And thankfully thru the patronage of Mz. Pepin, Gar was adequately compensated financially for the gargantuan 150 – 200 hours of surgical paint w3rk done upon this canvas.  Without her influence, love, and support.. this painting most likely would not have materialized.  So mad props, gratitude, and infinite love to Mz. Donna Pepin for her continued patronage of the art of Mr. Gar BaiLey.

Here’s the other fabulous news!… In an effort to get my gART on to the walls of more of my friends and fans, I am going to be selling atleast 90% of this collection of w3rks and they are all going to be priced to sell.  And I mean seriously priced to sell.  It’s just a guesstimate but I’m going to try and keep all prices $100 or less and some of the smaller paintings may be as low as $20!! So for those of you who’ve always wanted a killer piece of gARTw3rk but never thought you could afford it.  THIS IS GOING TO BE YOUR LUCKY DAY.. in a 1 – 3 weeks that is.  I doubt that they’ll be a sale of gARTw3rks of this magnitude again anytime soon, if ever.  So just as soon as the entire series of 15 – 25 w3rks are all completed.  They’ll be going up onto a webpage with prices lower than sin.  Keep yer radars on, and I’ll let cha’s know just as soon as tis all ready.  First come first serve, and even though all the paintings prices will be low, it all will be negotiable even.  These paintings want/need to be on all of your walls.

I/Gar BaiLey am gonna be showcasing somewhere between like 15 – 25 of my newest, most spectacular paintings this November. The w3rk will be up for almost a month from November 13th – December 8th, 2009 at TASTE in College Park, FL. -It’s just outside of downtown Orlando. This particular show is entitled: “Creature Of Habit“.

*There will be an opening night party on Nov. 13th from 7 – 9PM. Taste is not only a music venue, an art gallery, & a fully stocked bar, but it’s also a quality Tapas restaurant for those looking to get their grub on.

eYe will definitely be on hand during the opening night festivities to mingle, celebrate, take photos, answer any questions about the w3rk, & I’ll also be DJing some of my favorite music to further enhance the visual impact of my paintings. Here Gar Bailey is standing with one of his 2009 painted masterpieces at his home in (n)Osteen, FL. Hopefully this image helps to illustrate the scale and immense detail involved with this particular w3rk of gART. Painted in the Summer of 2009, this piece took Gar a considerable amount of time to complete, working non-stop for like 4-6 days a week from April – August of 2009.

So this is a painting I have been w3rking on for the past 2 weeks. At first I wasn’t so keen on it, but after w3rking it and then rew3rking it for a few sessions.. the painting did eventually begin to grow on me. Tis odd how sometimes the pieces of aRt that start out kinda crummy-looking can end up being some of my better artw3rk in the end. -The ol’ ugly duckling which grows into the swan scenario.
