One of my best friends and biggest supporters recently commissioned me to to do one of my trademark “portrait assemblages” of/for him. It took a couple months to gather the ingredients, and a couple more weeks to assemble it all in the perfect manner. In the end, I think it’s definitely one of my strongest w3rks in this particular style. It’s also my first assemblage that has a removable accessory, ie the hat. Anyway, there’s a few photos of the assemblage included here. You can go to this flickR page to view larger, linkable versions if ya like.
Thank you Daas for all your support as a true friend, a patron of my w3rk, and an inspiration. Massive thank you’s D for helping me become a better artist in the process. I’ll never ever forget yer support hombre. Hope this assemblage helps show you how much you mean to me as a friend.

That is definitely in your top 5 of “portrait assemblages”, and is easily the most polished one. Great work.
I like the removeable accessory, the 3rd eye, and the whole feel of the assemblage. It is so cool to see Dass next to it. They look like family! Great pictures to show it in different ways.
I like this piece and I really like the style. very slick.
Dana + Matthew divided by Gar Bailey minus compassionate spiral of 18 days silence × mineral × life cycle of a technology = embodied a spirit of friendship! That’s how it’s got to be! I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to glimpse into that human spirit. This is the ultimate level of luxury and true infectious joy. Splendid!
and you were worried for a minute? this may very well be your best assemblage face that you have ever created. very stylized and perfectly assembled. it turned out as great as I hoped it would. you did a fantastic job on discovering the objects and placing them. you are a truly unique kind of artist, gar baileaf. love you.
